The Brooklyn MC caused quite a stir the last year or two, as a bidding war broke out amongst labels to sign the young artist, only for KOTA to decide to do it his way and stay indie. KOTA insists on honing his skills how he sees fit, acting as creative director for his releases. With inspiration ranging from Nas to Jimi Hendrix, the up-and-coming act is New York’s best kept secret to date.
