Valley

Indie Pop

Toronto, Canada

Valley is an interesting act we’ve have our eyes on for a few years now. 2016’s This Room is White was on constant rotation for us, with “Swim” being an absolute bright spot. Three years later Maybe dropped, the bands debut full length, and grew on us over time and certainly captured the bright, bloomy indie sound we’d come to love with their debut EP.

Over the last year or two the band, while maintaining their successful indie pop rock sound, have doubled down on the catchy hooks and commercial appeal. Their new single “Like 1999” is making waves on radio and spotify and is constantly being hummed around our space. But it was “All the Animals I Drew as a Kid” that captured us in again in a uniquely catatonic way that Maybe did and reinvigorated our sense of magic and awe that “Swim” gave us all those years ago. The Canadian outfit are nothing short of poised for Top 40 success, with a crossover appeal to alt-rock and college rock radio that leaves their sugary new hits primed for more than our blog can offer. Regardless, welcome to the world of Valley… enjoy… because they are here to stay.
