At the young age of 18, redveil (government: Marcus Morton) started making waves in hip-hop scene, and has been doing so dating back to 2018 when the youngster dropped his debut in December of that year. Fast forward a few years and we get the release of his third album, learn 2 swim, this past April. The album was entirely self-produced, pulling influence from the NY drill music and local DMV artists, along with heavyweights like Tyler, The Creator. Veil has been supporting Freddie Gibbs on his Space Rabbit Tour, and Denzel Curry recently dropped a remix of his song “pg baby”. Complex, Pitchfork, and Spin all gave favorable reviews to the artists new album, and it appears we’re on the cusp of this youthful voice becoming the next big thing both on the production side of things, but also on the performing side… a true multi-talent on the up-climb.
