Teddy Swims

R&B/Soul/Hip Hop/Country/Songwriter

Conyers, Georgia

When doing some research on Teddy Swims, I came across a comment that someone left describing what they heard (and saw).

“What happens when you mix Chris Stapleton and Post Malone? This beautiful bastard!”

No truer words have been so satirically true in a long time - but i’d take that blurb above and mix in a little soulful Allen Stone for good measure. The genre-bender Swims rides the rails somewhere between beautifully executed soul (look no further than his cover of “I Can’t Make You Love Me”), R&B/hip-hop/pop (“Night Off”, “Picky”) and even some traditional songwriter/crooner/country (his six60 cover of “Rivers”). While the rising artist has popped around the industry for years playing in everything from alt-country to metalcore bands, Swims is breaking ever barrier and truly defining his own genre. The Teddy Effect, as i’m dubbing it, is taking off. His first single, “Night Off”, below, showcases that no matter what direction his sound takes him, Teddy has the chops to be the next big thing.
