Rising like a phoenix out of nowhere, American-born-now-British-based soulful songwriter Jalen Ngonda is putting everyone on notice. And I mean everyone.

Inspired by his father’s collection of jazz, soul, hip-hop, and classical records, Ngonda knew from an early age what he was meant to do. The rising retro-soul voice, recently signed to funk/soul indie powerhouse for two decades now, Daptone, Ngonda is set to take over the scene as we head towards the end of the year.

“Come Around and Love Me” just dropped, making it the third single that has dropped off a forthcoming album dropping in early September. Note the name, the rise is on.
