Having the pleasure of touring with the likes of Ben Howard, Mumford & Sons, and City & Colour, The Franklin Electric have built quite a name for themselves in the right circles.
The folk-rising sounds of the Canadian collective are led by songwriter Jon Matte and, besides the above mentioned, draw comparisons in sounds across a wide plain, from Travis to Half Moon Run. They found some success in 2014 with their song “This is How I Let You Down”, a melodic singalong, hitting some radio airwaves and making a mark on some TV shows regionally. The band followed up their debut effort up with an album in 2017, and have come back strong the last year with two EPs, including one released in February via Nettwerk.
Matte and crew have continued releasing singles here and there through Q1 of 2020, with hopefully their third full length on the horizon.
